Beyond AXS Expands Access to Music and Live Entertainment for Young People in Denver

NORTHAMPTON, MA / ACCESS Newswire / October 2, 2026 – For young people interested in music and live entertainment, creativity often begins with access to artists, industry professionals, creative tools, and spaces for live experiences. AEG’s AXS, a leader in advanced ticketing and live event technology, is fostering this access in Denver with a new community initiative called Beyond AXS.

Launched in partnership with Denver Arts & Venues, Beyond AXS aims to expand access to live events and connect more community members with Denver’s arts and entertainment ecosystem. The initiative offers hands-on experiences, allowing participants to explore music, production, and various creative pathways behind live entertainment.

The program kicked off with a two-day experience for 15 to 20 students from the RiseUp Community School—an alternative school in Denver focused on internship and career preparation. This initiative connected students with music production experts and Denver-native electronic duo, Big Gigantic.

On September 25, students engaged in a DJ and music-production workshop led by Mobile Studio at the Denver Performing Arts Complex, where they learned about beat-making, mixing, and creative careers in music.

Big Gigantic’s Dominic Lalli and Jeremy Salken participated, sharing insights as artists and guiding students through the creative process behind music production and live shows. “Red Rocks has played such an important role in our story,” they said, reflecting on the significance of helping young people understand the creative processes behind major live events.

The following day, students attended a soundcheck at Red Rocks before Big Gigantic’s Rowdytown performance, gaining a firsthand understanding of how artists and crews prepare for large-scale events.

These experiences illustrate the mission behind Beyond AXS: to leverage live entertainment to connect young individuals, artists, and their communities. By combining hands-on learning with access to working artists and iconic cultural venues, the initiative enables students to see themselves not just as fans, but as potential contributors to the entertainment world.
