It seems there’s exciting news on the horizon for fans of the Ape Escape series! According to insider NatetheHate, Sony is reportedly looking to revive this beloved franchise, which last saw a release on PS3 in 2010. While there are several projects in the works, it’s noted that Team Asobi—known for their work on the Astro games—won’t be developing the new installment.
Though Bandai Namco was a popular suggestion among fans, it’s unclear if they are involved in the revival either. In the meantime, players can relive classic Ape Escape adventures through the PS Plus Premium catalog or purchase them independently via the PS Store.
