Arizona Energy Rebates and Tax Credits

Residents and businesses in Arizona can now access a range of rebates and tax credits aimed at lowering energy costs and reducing emissions. The Arizona Governor’s Office of Resiliency offers several programs focused on energy conservation and financial savings.

Efficiency Arizona Program

One of the key initiatives is the Efficiency Arizona program, which provides point-of-purchase rebates for income-eligible households. This program is designed to enhance energy efficiency and home comfort while promoting long-term savings. Through the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates Program (HEAR), eligible households can receive up to $14,000 in total rebates.

Key rebates available under HEAR include:

  • Up to $8,000 for electric heat pumps
  • Up to $1,750 for electric heat pump water heaters
  • Up to $840 for electric heat pump clothes dryers
  • Up to $840 for electric stoves, cooktops, ranges, or ovens
  • Up to $1,600 for insulation, air sealing, and ventilation
  • Up to $4,000 for electrical panel upgrades

Arizona Clean Energy Hub

Another invaluable resource is the Arizona Clean Energy Hub, which acts as a comprehensive point of contact for various stakeholders, including households, businesses, and nonprofits. This hub facilitates access to incentives for renewable energy and energy-saving upgrades.

Incentives available through the hub for homeowners include:

  • 30% off rooftop solar installations
  • $2,000 off energy-efficient heat pumps
  • $1,000 off electric vehicle charger installations

Both renters and landlords of multifamily buildings can also take advantage of these incentives.

These programs reflect Arizona’s commitment to energy efficiency, aiming to benefit residents financially while promoting a more sustainable environment.
