Naomi Campbell has successfully overturned a five-year ban preventing her from serving as a charity trustee in England and Wales. A tribunal found that she was misled by Bianka Hellmich, a fellow trustee of her charity, Fashion for Relief.
The Charity Commission previously deemed the organization “poorly governed” and noted significant financial mismanagement, with only 8.5% of its expenditures going to charitable grants over a six-year period starting in 2016. Although the tribunal confirmed issues of misconduct and financial mismanagement, it determined that these problems stemmed from Hellmich’s actions, which Campbell was unaware of.
