Wynonna Judd recently confirmed that she and her sister, actress Ashley Judd, have a strained relationship. In an interview with People, she mentioned that Ashley hasn’t heard her upcoming album, “The Hard Truth,” highlighting their lack of connection. Wynonna stated, “We’re taking a break, which all families can relate to,” indicating that both sisters are focused on their own lives.
The sisters experienced significant loss when their mother, Naomi Judd, passed away by suicide in April 2022 after struggling with depression. Though they publicly mourned together, the ongoing rift has led to rumors about potential disputes over their mother’s will, which Wynonna dismissed.
This isn’t the first time their lack of communication has surfaced; Wynonna discussed their differences on AXS TV in 2015, describing their relationship as dysfunctional and noting that they have lived separate lives.
Despite these challenges, both sisters acknowledge their shared past, with Wynonna recalling her role in caring for Ashley during their upbringing.
