Spectrum Generations’ Celebrity Chef Competition Makes a Comeback in Augusta

Dinner, Competition, and a Familiar Voice Behind the Mic

Spectrum Generations’ annual Celebrity Chef Challenge is back, and this year, I’m teaming up with Matt James, my co-host on the Matt & Allyssa Show on 92 Moose and Q97.9!

Matt will not only be the DJ but also host for the evening. Meanwhile, I’ll be stepping out from behind the microphone to try my hand as a celebrity server. Wish me luck (and patience!) if you find yourself at one of my tables.

Of course, the highlight of the night will be the talented chefs competing for your votes. This year features three newcomers:

  • Chef Elisha Irland from The Oak Table & Bar in Augusta
  • Chef Stacie Blouin-Grondin from Bistro 165 in Brunswick
  • Chef Sydney Garns from Salt Wharf in Camden

Each chef will prepare a delicious meal for guests to taste, and you’ll have the opportunity to cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award.

More than Dinner

The evening also includes:

  • Hors d’oeuvres from Maine Pine Catering
  • A cash bar
  • Live music
  • A silent auction
  • A paddle auction benefitting Spectrum Generations’ Meals on Wheels program

Local celebrity judges including Christy Eastman, Chef Steven Dumas, Ehrin Simanski, and Chef Margaret Salt McLellan will weigh in on the competition.

Tickets: $75 per person, with tables available for groups of four, six, or eight.

Best of all, the proceeds support Spectrum Generations’ programs and services, including Meals on Wheels, which delivers over 300,000 meals each year to homebound and disabled older adults.

So come hungry, bring some friends, be ready to vote, and don’t forget to say hi to me while I’m aiming for that celebrity server title!
