The key to winning on The Celebrity Traitors lies in the ability to conceal genuine emotions, but contestant Michael Sheen believes his acting skills have hindered him in the game. Sheen, known for his prestigious roles in film and television, competes alongside celebrities like Miranda Hart, Amol Rajan, James Blunt, and Jerry Hall in the upcoming 2026 season. Host Claudia Winkleman will select the “Traitors” from the group, while the remaining contestants, known as “Faithfuls,” must identify them before they face elimination.
Sheen shared that being an actor might be a disadvantage, as others may view him with skepticism, assuming he can easily deceive them due to his profession. He emphasized that true acting involves convincing oneself of a reality, not merely pretending. With several actors, including Bella Ramsey and Richard E Grant, also in the mix, suspicion may arise toward their motives.
Comedians like James Acaster and Romesh Ranganathan are also part of the cast, with some expressing a willingness to betray one another for the fun of the game. The show premieres Thursday at 8 PM on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
