Way to Go Photography Contest
Overview
Now is the perfect time to review your travel photos and submit them to the Leader’s annual Way to Go photography contest, sponsored by Grand Times, the magazine for seniors published by Leader Publications.
Eligibility
- Open to Jefferson County, Eureka, and Wildwood residents aged 50 and older.
- Each participant can submit up to two entries.
Photo Requirements
- Photos can be from any vacation, new or old, near or far.
- Each entry must include:
- Entrant’s name, age, address, and phone number.
- Date and place the photo was taken, along with the photographer’s name.
- Names of any people featured in the photo.
- Additional details about the picture and its significance.
Prizes
- One winner will be randomly drawn from eligible entries and will receive $200.
Submission Details
- Deadline for entries is 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 8.
- Submissions can be sent:
- By mail to: Way to Go, c/o Leader Publications, P.O. Box 159, Festus, 63028
- Dropped off at the Leader office: 503 N. Second St., Festus
- Via email: news@myleaderpaper.com
- Include a self-addressed stamped envelope if you want your photos returned; others will be available for pickup at the Leader office.
Event Connection
This contest coincides with the Eureka Senior Expo, occurring on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at the Timbers of Eureka, 1 Coffey Park Lane.
Publication and Display of Entries
Results will be featured in the Oct. 22 issue of Grand Times, and entries may be showcased on the Leader’s website thereafter.
