Daisy Edgar-Jones Offers a ‘Sense and Sensibility’ Take on Lingerie Fashion

Daisy Edgar-Jones is making waves in the fashion world while promoting her new film adaptation of Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility. She’s combining relaxed, modern styles with vintage pieces, showcasing a blend of lingerie-inspired looks alongside classic corsets and military jackets during her press tour.

On September 25, she donned a pastel Chloé outfit that subtly echoed the “naked dressing trend,” featuring a skin-tone-like dress that drew attention. Her stylist, Dani Michelle, has sourced several suits from Chloé, a designer beloved by Edgar-Jones. Following a casual look at BBC Studios in a McQueen military jacket, she took a more romantic turn with a lace-trimmed bodysuit that resembled a stylish camisole paired with a draped midi skirt, paying homage to her character, Elinor Dashwood.

While remaining true to the light and airy feel of the romantic themes in Sense and Sensibility, Daisy is also keeping accessories to a minimum, opting for simple beige kitten heels without extra jewelry.

Throughout her promotional tour, Edgar-Jones has notably embraced the lingerie-dressing trend, including wearing a daring naked dress adorned with floral lace that displayed vibrant neon underwear. This unexpected style choice shows she is willing to break out of traditional red carpet mold, blending contemporary fashion with classic inspirations.

As the film’s release date approaches, her fashion choices seem to signal a modern take on period pieces, promising an engaging viewing experience when Sense and Sensibility hits theaters on October 16.
