Fans of SEGA can now enjoy collectible “blind boxes” featuring figures and diorama elements from popular games like Sonic The Hedgehog and Streets of Rage 2. These new items, created by Console Heroes and Wilder Toys, are available at Walmart and Target stores.
Each blind box contains a 2-inch figure that fits inside a mini Game Gear cartridge, which can be opened to reveal artwork and a mount for display. Currently, six characters are included in this collection: Sonic, Axel Stone from Streets of Rage 2, Blue Devil from Sonic Drift 2, Ax Battler from Golden Axe, Sniper Fang from Sonic Triple Trouble, and Joe Musashi from Shinobi.
Prices range from $4.49 to $4.99, but these items are not available online, possibly due to an early release. There’s no news yet on whether a larger console-shaped stand will be produced, as seen with other previous releases.
