James Blunt shared an unexpected revelation during his recent appearance on The One Show. The singer confessed that he didn’t volunteer for Celebrity Traitors; instead, it was his wife, Sofia Wellesley, who signed him up for the show without prior notice.
Blunt admitted during the interview, “I haven’t watched much TV and I found out from my wife that I was on Celebrity Traitors.” He then had to quickly binge-watch the previous season to prepare for filming, stating, “I was given a speed-watch of the whole thing.”
When asked about contestants he admired, Blunt named fellow contestant Joe Marler, noticing their similar appearances and joking that they seemed like “long-lost brothers.” Marler, in turn, expressed confidence in Blunt’s potential to stand out in the competition.
While Blunt kept details about his progress in the game under wraps, he is among 21 celebrities participating in the show’s second season, competing for a chance to win £100,000 for charity. The season premieres on October 1, with regular episodes airing on Thursdays and Fridays at 8 p.m.
