ECGC 30.0 to Explore the Increasing Influence of A.I. on the Gaming Sector and Its Regulation

The rapid evolution of artificial intelligence (A.I.) presents both unique opportunities and significant challenges for the global gaming industry and its regulators. Recent media coverage has highlighted how major gaming operators utilize A.I. and customer data, prompting essential discussions on the technology’s ethical application in such a heavily regulated environment.

A central theme of the upcoming 30th Annual East Coast Gaming Congress (ECGC), which will take place on April 27-28, 2027, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, will be the impact of A.I. on gaming. This year’s event carries the title “30 Years of Gaming Leadership: Shaping the Future.”

As A.I. evolves from an emerging technology to a practical resource, gaming operators are leveraging advanced data analytics to enhance customer engagement, streamline operations, and detect behavioral patterns. However, regulators are challenged to keep up. News reports have begun to raise concerns regarding the intersection of these technological advancements and responsible gaming practices, indicating that the conversation surrounding A.I. in gaming extends beyond mere innovation.

According to Scott Nicholson, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for Imagine This, a leading casino marketing and A.I. technology firm, it is crucial for the gaming industry to understand the potential effects of A.I. on both operations and community welfare. He emphasizes the importance of forums like ECGC for this discourse.

Michael Pollock, co-founder of ECGC and senior policy advisor to Spectrum Gaming Group, also notes that while A.I. creates opportunities for enhanced compliance and risk management, it simultaneously raises critical questions about responsible gaming and data transparency.

Lloyd D. Levenson, another ECGC co-founder and CEO of the Cooper Levenson law firm, highlights the need for informed discussions on regulatory adjustments necessary to accommodate rapidly advancing technology within the complex regulatory frameworks governing the gaming sector.

The ECGC has established itself as a platform for industry leaders—including CEOs, Wall Street firms, and political figures—to propose innovative ideas that will shape the future of gaming. Upcoming announcements will detail additional speakers and topics, including the future of lotteries, online gaming, and the impact of downstate New York casinos.

The 2027 conference will continue to offer unmatched opportunities for sponsorship, networking, professional development, and high-level business interactions. For more engagement, ECGC co-producer/co-organizer Cooper Levenson will be present at G2E 2026 in Las Vegas at Booth 4303.
