Sweeney, who became an equity holder in Novig, faced criticism after an ad campaign featured her posing naked alongside sports equipment, which some deemed harmful to the progress of women in sports. Stone supported those concerns, stating, “We can’t denigrate women’s sports to get men’s attention so they can gamble.”
Despite the criticism, Sweeney has not publicly responded and maintains a positive outlook on her body image and confidence since portraying Cassie in Euphoria.
