Flint Residents Can Make In-Person Payments for Consumers Energy Bills

Flint Partners with Consumers Energy for In-Person Bill Payments

FLINT, Mich. — The City of Flint is partnering with Consumers Energy to offer residents a new option for in-person energy bill payments. Starting soon, payments can be made at the Flint City Services Center located at 4813 Clio Road.

This initiative comes after Consumers Energy announced the permanent closure of its East Court Street payment office after November 30, 2026. The city aims to make essential services more accessible, especially for those who rely on in-person transactions.

“Our goal is simple: make it easier for Flint residents to access the services they need,” stated Flint Mayor Sheldon A. Neeley. The Clio Road Service Center, which was established to enhance access to city services for residents on Flint’s north side, already offers water bill payments and various public health resources.

Further details about the service start date, operational hours, and payment processes will be announced soon.
