Rob Beckett and Maya Jama are expressing their disbelief over how they were portrayed in the promotional materials for the second series of Celebrity Traitors. Beckett, a 40-year-old comedian featured alongside celebrities like Miranda Hart and Michael Sheen, took to Instagram to voice his concerns about his official headshot, humorously suggesting a “traitor in the photoshop department.” Jama chimed in, stating that “they did us all dirty.”
Beckett’s wife added a lighthearted jab, claiming she would replace him in family photos with his enhanced headshot using AI. He will be joined in the competition by his close friend and fellow comedian Romesh Ranganathan, who acknowledged the complexities of their relationship within the game’s competitive environment.
Claudia Winkleman, the show’s host, praised Beckett’s humor, admitting he made her laugh so hard she had to find a place to compose herself. The new season of Celebrity Traitors premieres on BBC One on October 1.
