Fire Destroys Jungle Exotic Pets on Highway 49
FLORENCE, Miss. — A fire broke out around midnight Thursday at Jungle Exotic Pets on Highway 49 South, destroying its building.
The store, known as the largest pet store in Mississippi, offered a variety of animals including freshwater fish, reptiles, small animals, birds, and other exotic pets. It is unclear if any animals were inside the building when the fire started or if there were any injuries reported.
Video footage from the scene has shown the extent of the fire and damage inflicted on the structure. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
