Former child star Jonathan Taylor Thomas detained, accused of kicking an officer during a traffic stop in Los Angeles County.

Former child actor Jonathan Taylor Thomas was arrested in Westlake Village, California, on Monday. Authorities reported that deputies noticed a vehicle blocking traffic at a green light. Upon investigation, they suspected the driver was intoxicated. As deputies conducted field sobriety tests, Thomas, identified as a passenger, disrupted the process and appeared to be intoxicated himself. He allegedly exited the vehicle multiple times and approached deputies, leading to an attempt to detain him for obstruction and public intoxication. During the arrest, Thomas reportedly kicked a deputy. Both he and the driver were arrested, with the driver’s charge being driving under the influence of alcohol. No charges have been formally filed yet, as the case is under review by the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office.
