Bellevue Plans Next Phase for Entertainment District
BELLEVUE, Neb. — The city has entered into an exclusive negotiation agreement with Goldenrod Companies and American Resort Management to expand the Bellevue Bay Entertainment District. This next phase will focus on approximately 35 acres of city-owned land, aiming to enhance the area with various attractions including restaurants, retail spaces, lodging, amusement attractions, and a dry park that will complement the Mattel Wonder Water Park.
Mayor Rusty Hike emphasized that this partnership demonstrates how public investments can drive private sector development and stimulate economic growth. The Bellevue Bay Entertainment District is a key component of the city’s Good Life Project, built around the water park. An economic analysis by Creighton University economist Ernie Goss estimates that the district could generate over $300 million in sales tax revenue over three decades.
