The Nissan Z Kaze concept was recently unveiled at ZCON in the U.S., evoking nostalgia for the company’s legendary Z cars. This concept introduces a T-top roof design, reminiscent of the 280ZX from the late 1970s, marking a first for the modern Z lineup.
Designed for the current Z34-gen sports car, the replaceable T-top panels allow for a breezy driving experience, inspired by California’s Pacific Coast Highway. The Z Kaze features a striking Pacific Teal color, with enhancements including custom-designed bodywork that accommodates wider Nismo LMGT2 wheels.
The interior boasts white leather upholstery and carbon-fiber accents, while performance modifications include a GReddy Supreme SP exhaust and advanced cooling systems for its twin-turbo 3.0-litre V6 engine.
Though there are no plans for mass production of the T-top Z, the Kaze concept highlights Nissan’s commitment to blending heritage with modernity.
Published on September 24, 2026, this concept car serves as a tribute to Nissan’s rich history in the sports car arena.
