Disney has appointed Cathleen Taff as president of its newly formed Disney Entertainment – Studios and Consumer Products team. This organizational shift takes effect on October 4, when global licensing and publishing will integrate into Disney Entertainment – Studios, while Disney Parks Merchandise and retail operations will remain under the Disney Experiences division.
Lisa Baldzicki, former president of Disney Consumer Products, is transitioning to the role of executive vice president of global experience and innovation. She will work alongside leadership teams to ensure continued success in her new position, while also overseeing the Disney Parks merchandise division.
The groundwork for this consolidation was laid out in August when Disney announced plans to better align its Consumer Products division with the content side of the business.
Taff will report to Alan Bergman, chairman of Disney Entertainment – Studios, and will maintain her responsibilities for Production Services, Franchise Management, Theatrical Distribution, Disney Theatrical Group, and Disney Music Group. Additionally, she’ll now oversee the Disney Consumer Products businesses.
Baldzicki’s new team will focus on identifying emerging trends and scaling successful initiatives across Disney Experiences. She will also maintain leadership over the Disney Parks merchandise business and the global retail operations.
Bergman praised Taff’s creativity and collaborative spirit, expressing confidence in her ability to guide the newly integrated businesses. Mazloum commended Baldzicki’s leadership and vision, emphasizing her role in shaping meaningful consumer experiences.
