Miranda Hart has shared that participating in “The Celebrity Traitors” has played a significant role in helping her get her life back on track after her diagnosis of myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as chronic fatigue syndrome.
The comedienne, known for her self-titled BBC sitcom, expressed excitement about joining the show, which premieres on October 1. This marks her return to television after a prolonged absence due to health issues.
In an interview, Miranda revealed, “I haven’t done much TV work for a long time, having only recently come out of long-term ill-health issues.” She felt relieved and joyful when she was approached for the program.
While she continues to face challenges such as fatigue and pain, she believes this opportunity will provide a sense of joy that outweighs the difficulties. Miranda will be competing alongside notable personalities such as Richard E. Grant and Maya Jama, with Claudia Winkleman hosting.
After stepping back from the public eye due to her health, including a diagnosis of Lyme disease, Miranda’s life began to improve significantly, highlighted by her marriage to Richard Fairs in 2024. As she prepares for her participation in the show, she acknowledges the courage it takes to step back into the limelight, reminding audiences that everyone has their struggles, often unseen.
