TERRE HAUTE, Ind. — The Georgia men’s and women’s cross country teams are preparing to compete in the John McNichols Invitational, hosted by Indiana State, at LaVern Gibson Championship Course on Saturday morning.

This event is particularly significant as it offers the Bulldogs a chance to familiarize themselves with the course that will host the 2026 NCAA Championship races, providing valuable experience ahead of postseason competition.

The men’s team, ranked No. 20, will face off against 11 other ranked teams, including No. 6 Colorado, No. 7 Northern Arizona, No. 9 BYU, No. 11 Washington State, and others. Meanwhile, the women will encounter 10 ranked opponents, including No. 7 West Virginia and No. 8 Northern Arizona.

Following a strong performance at the Covered Bridge Open, where the women dominated by sweeping the top five spots in the 5K race led by sophomore Addison Scott, who clocked in at 17:22.00, the Bulldogs are ready to compete again. Notably, Scott achieved a personal best by 28 seconds.

On the men’s side, seniors Ryan Olree and Conner Rutherford secured the top two finishes in the 6K race, both breaking their personal records.
