I-70 Closures for Bridge Repairs
Notice to Travelers:
Colorado transportation officials are advising drivers about upcoming travel impacts on Interstate 70, particularly for those heading to Denver International Airport.
Closure Details:
- Dates:
- First closure: September 18-22
- Second closure: September 25-29
- Timing: Each closure will run from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Tuesday.
- Location: I-70 will be closed in both directions over Kipling Street (Colorado Highway 391) in Wheatridge for critical bridge repairs.
Expected Delays:
Travelers should anticipate traffic delays of 30 minutes or more during these periods.
Detour Information:
A detour will redirect I-70 traffic through the Kipling Street interchange using the on- and off-ramps. Note that the interchange will be closed in both directions, meaning drivers cannot enter or exit I-70 at Kipling Street during the repairs.
