ABC7 Pet of the Week: Meet Bentley
Location: Sarasota, Florida
Featured Pet: Bentley, a 3-year-old Akita
Weight: Approximately 130 pounds
This week’s ABC7 Pet of the Week is a gentle giant named Bentley. Marsha Panuce, founder of Donte’s Den and host of Animal Outtakes, introduced Bentley during ABC7’s Noon News.
About Bentley:
- Temperament: Loving, eager to please, and treat-motivated.
- Skills: Knows basic commands and enjoys car rides and playing in water.
- Personality: Described as strong, loyal, and still a “baby” at three years old.
Special Considerations:
- His size makes it crucial to find a suitable home.
- Could thrive in a calm environment, possibly with a female dog.
Bentley is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and has undergone a gastropexy to help prevent stomach twisting, a common concern for large breeds.
