Investigators have identified that the source of contamination points to moringa leaf powder utilized in both supplements. Consumers and retailers are advised to thoroughly clean and disinfect any surfaces or containers that may have come into contact with these products.

The FDA urges anyone who has bought the super greens bearing expiration dates between August 2026 and January 2028, or the superfood capsules set to expire in July 2028, to refrain from using them and properly dispose of them.

In a statement, the FDA assured that they are collaborating with the companies involved to uncover the root cause of the contamination and to remove the affected products from the market.
