Sacramento pet photography events benefit Front Street Animal Shelter

Sacramento Pet Photo Sessions Support Front Street Animal Shelter

A Sacramento-based pet photographer, Caroline Winata, is offering free mini photo sessions for pets in exchange for donations of dog or cat food to aid the Front Street Animal Shelter. This initiative, titled “Fill the Pantry,” aims to help replenish the shelter’s empty food pantry.

How It Works:

  • Interested participants can call to donate a 20-pound bag of dog food or a 15-pound bag of cat food in exchange for a free photo session, lasting 50 minutes.
  • Winata, who volunteers at the shelter, was inspired to take action after noticing the dire need for pet food supplies.

Current Progress:

  • In the short time since the initiative began, Winata has reported three scheduled sessions and a total of 22 bags of pet food received, with some donations arriving via Amazon.

Goal:

  • Winata aims to fill a truck with pet food by the end of the month to support the shelter’s ongoing needs.
