Apple is reportedly developing its own video game controllers aimed at enhancing the gaming experience on the iPhone. This initiative, shared by Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, will feature two different models, internally referred to as T6502 and T1057. These controllers are designed with standard gaming features like joysticks, buttons, and haptic feedback, and may include additional sensors for physical movement during gameplay.
Interestingly, these controllers might launch under the Beats brand, targeting a younger demographic and allowing Apple to explore a new accessory category without embedding its premium image.
This move is part of Apple’s broader strategy to solidify its gaming presence, especially with offerings like Apple Arcade, ensuring that the iPhone emerges as a formidable gaming platform. However, Apple has yet to officially confirm the controllers’ specifics, including their features, pricing, and release date.
