Steel firm to allocate $19 million for Fayetteville expansion

SteelFab Inc. is set to invest $19 million and create 38 jobs in Cumberland County as it expands its operations in Fayetteville. This expansion will be partly funded by a $125,000 performance-based grant from the One North Carolina Fund, which supports local economic development through matching funds. SteelFab, the largest structural steel fabricator in the U.S., anticipates average salaries of $70,106 for new hires, significantly higher than the local average of $47,175. Rob Burlington, the region president, expressed excitement about the growth, while Governor Josh Stein highlighted North Carolina’s supportive business environment. The project has strong backing from various state and local agencies.
