The Wayward Polar Bear makes a comeback as the Orioles head to Queens.

The New York Mets (69-80) are set to face the Baltimore Orioles (72-78) this evening at Citi Field, kicking off a three-game series. The Mets just wrapped up a Subway Series against the Yankees, where they managed to secure one win out of three games. Despite two competitive games, the Mets struggled with offensive consistency, especially in a 2-0 loss where their performance against the Yankees’ bullpen was particularly disappointing.

A recurring topic of discussion is Pete Alonso, who, along with Francisco Lindor, is just one home run away from his 300th career homer. Fans are eager to see them achieve this milestone, preferably in the same game.

The Orioles are in a tricky position, currently last in the AL East but only a few games away from a Wild Card spot. However, their recent 3-7 record over the last ten games presents challenges for their playoff ambitions.
