Vendors commit a portion of their earnings to support a Selma family with expenses for travel, meals, and accommodation.

Selma, Calif. (FOX26) — In a show of community support, over a dozen local small businesses banded together for the “Flowers for Camila” fundraiser to assist the family of one-year-old Camila Chagoya, who is currently hospitalized following a life-saving heart transplant.

The event, hosted in Kingsburg, featured a variety of vendors offering food, jewelry, and crafts, with each contributing a portion of their sales to aid Camila’s family. Born with a serious heart condition, Camila underwent multiple surgeries and finally received a heart transplant in May. Unfortunately, she suffered cardiac arrest and subsequent brain damage in August and remains under care at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital in Stanford.

Funds raised will help cover essential costs such as gas, meals, lodging, and other expenses for her family as they remain by her side during this challenging time.
