The Michigan Community Street Clinic, organized by veterinary medicine graduate students from Michigan State University, offers essential veterinary services to pets belonging to homeless individuals or those at risk of homelessness. On September 27, students will set up at Lansing’s Reutter Park, providing preventive care such as vaccinations, flea and tick prevention, and microchipping.
Under the supervision of licensed veterinarians, the clinic aims to help pet owners who might not otherwise access veterinary care. Clients often express deep gratitude, reflecting the strong human-animal bond they maintain amid challenging living conditions. Additionally, the clinic provides pet supplies and simple grooming services.
For those interested in supporting this initiative, donations of supplies or funds are welcomed. For more details, contact the group at msu.mcsc@gmail.com.
