Diablo V Officially Announced by Blizzard
Blizzard Entertainment has unveiled Diablo V during the opening ceremony of BlizzCon 2026, offering fans their first sneak peek at the next installment in the beloved action RPG series. Continuing Diablo IV
The announcement of Diablo V does not signify the end for Diablo IV. During BlizzCon 2026, Blizzard revealed that the Amazon class will make its return in early 2027. This class will come with four archetypes: Champion, Skirmisher, Ranger, and Commander, equipped with weapons like bows and a new weapon type—the javelin.
In addition, Diablo IV: Age of Hatred Collection is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15, encompassing the base game along with the expansions Vessel of Hatred and Lord of Hatred.
Expanding the Franchise
Blizzard is also taking steps to broaden the Diablo universe beyond gaming. A new animated series is in development at Netflix, although detailed information regarding its story and release date remains scarce. This initiative marks a significant milestone as Blizzard celebrates 30 years of Diablo.
