Mike Evans Raises Concerns Over Rams’ Travel Schedule to Australia Ahead of 49ers Matchup

Mike Evans has added to the dialogue surrounding the Los Angeles Rams’ travel plans for their recent game in Australia. After the Rams suffered a 27-7 defeat to the San Francisco 49ers, Evans expressed confusion over the Rams arriving in Melbourne only 25 hours before kickoff. Other 49ers players, including Fred Warner, shared similar sentiments, noting that the Rams appeared to “wither away” as the game progressed, while the 49ers grew stronger.

The Rams tightly packed their travel schedule, departing from Los Angeles only on Tuesday night and arriving in Melbourne on game day. In contrast, the 49ers made their trip well in advance, leaving on September 2 and arriving on September 4, allowing for a week of acclimatization to the time difference. This difference in preparation seemed evident, as the Rams’ offense struggled, tallying only seven points and 290 yards, while the 49ers posted 174 rushing yards against a Rams defense that had previously averaged 106.8 yards allowed per game in the current season.
