Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi stated that Ukraine is better equipped this winter for potential Russian attacks on its energy sector compared to last year. Speaking at the YES (Yalta European Strategy) meeting on September 12, he acknowledged ongoing threats but emphasized improvements in preparedness.
Koretskyi noted that while complete protection isn’t feasible, the government has learned valuable lessons and devised contingency plans. He pointed out an increase in Russian strikes, leading to significant economic challenges, yet he expressed optimism about the resilience of the country and its team.
He warned that the war could continue for an extended period, urging preparation for both the physical and mental challenges ahead. Koretskyi emphasized the need for long-term strategies to ensure business survival amid the conflict.
