Diablo 4 Updates Announced at BlizzCon 2026
Diablo 4 has received exciting announcements at this year’s BlizzCon, with significant updates planned through 2027. The highlight is the return of the Amazon class in the first half of 2027, promising to enhance gameplay with a new combat style while revisiting her homeland of Skovos.
The Amazon’s Return to Skovos
Fans have long anticipated the Amazon’s inclusion since her absence in earlier expansions. Though many expected her to be introduced alongside the Paladin in the “Lord of Hatred” expansion, she will finally make her debut in the next rollout. Blizzard’s strategy seems to balance new classes like Spiritborn and Warlock with beloved classic archetypes.
Season of Hell’s Legacy
In the near term, the Season of Hell’s Legacy is set to celebrate Diablo’s 30th anniversary, featuring classic enemies and legacy items reminiscent of the series’ history, such as the Stone of Jordan. Attendees can experience hands-on gameplay during the convention, with further details to be revealed in the “What’s Next” panel on Sunday.
Expansion to Nintendo Switch
Blizzard also confirmed that Diablo IV: The Age of Hatred collection will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, with playable demos on display at the event.
Looking Ahead
With the Amazon’s return, an anniversary season packed with nostalgia, and a new platform expansion, Diablo IV players can anticipate a rich array of content to delve into in the coming years.
