Mercuria Energy Group Secures New JPY 145.3 Billion Term Loan
TOKYO, Sept. 9, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Mercuria Energy Group Limited has successfully closed a JPY 145.3 billion three-year Samurai term loan facility. This facility will refinance the JPY 130.9 billion Samurai loan established in 2024, and aims to support general corporate and working capital needs.
The facility reflects Mercuria’s strong relationships with the Japanese loan market, stemming from its first financing in 2014. Guillaume Vermersch, Group CFO, expressed satisfaction with the completion of this syndication, highlighting the ongoing support from Asian banking partners amid global market uncertainties.
The loan arrangement was facilitated by four key banks: Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Mizuho Bank, MUFG Bank, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
