The National Television Awards saw a surprising outcome this week as The Traitors lost to its celebrity counterpart, The Celebrity Traitors, for the Best Reality Competition award. The event, held at The O2 in London, was a star-studded affair featuring celebrities like Gogglebox and Jeremy Clarkson.
Competing against both The Traitors and The Celebrity Traitors were other popular shows such as I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, and Race Across the World. Ultimately, The Celebrity Traitors, which featured notable contestants including Alan Carr, took home the award. During acceptance, Carr humorously expressed that he had enough awards, while fellow cast member Charlotte Church praised the show’s emotional depth.
