Folk singer Ray LaMontagne collapsed onstage during a performance in Nashville due to heat-related dehydration, with temperatures soaring to 101 degrees. The incident occurred while he was singing “Jolene” at the Ryman Auditorium, following earlier difficulties during his set. Fortunately, local EMS treated him, and he was reported to be in good hands.
LaMontagne resumed his tour the next night in Louisville without mentioning the collapse. He is currently on a 20th-anniversary tour celebrating his debut album, “Trouble,” which marked his rise as a distinctive voice in the Americana genre. The tour will continue until October 3, ending in New York City.
