Kerry Yu Achieves Recognition for Expertise and Contributions to the Field of Fashion, Modeling, and Entertainment Production
Kerry Yu is currently the owner and producer of China US Fashion Week, a position she has held since 2019. In her role, Kerry identifies platforms to showcase designers, fostering connections between designers, organizations, and cultural groups. She organizes high-profile fashion events and celebrates cultural milestones, emphasizing cross-cultural collaboration and understanding through fashion.
Before founding China US Fashion Week, Kerry launched Oceana Blue Productions in 2015, specializing in fashion event production. Notably, she was the exclusive producer for Miss Universe Canada in 2023 and has recently joined the advisory board for Miss USA. One of her major achievements was organizing the Yacht Gala in August 2026 to honor the 75th Diamond Anniversary of Miss USA, bringing together past titleholders and current contestants.
Kerry’s journey in fashion began in 2012 with the establishment of O’Pearl Jewelry, where she focused on jewelry design after moving to the United States. Her brand embodies the slogan “Be beautiful, Be bold,” aiming to empower women through unique designs.
Since 2011, she has been a director at the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA), shaping the future of aspiring models by providing exposure and growth opportunities. Her previous experience includes serving as general manager at Access Model Management in China, transitioning from modeling to production and direction.
Kerry holds two bachelor’s degrees—one in program management from Algonquin College and another in English from China. Her education has significantly influenced her leadership in fashion and nonprofit sectors. She participated in a national modeling competition in Canada, earning multiple awards that motivated her career trajectory.
In 2023, Kerry founded the Chinese Youth & Women Development Organization, focusing on cultural promotion and sustainable lifestyles for youth. This initiative includes the Chinese Rose Princess and Queen program, which recognizes participants for their cultural representation rather than a competitive victory.
Kerry’s civic engagement is extensive, including advisory roles with Miss USA and support for various organizations. She co-authored “Powerful Female Immigrants Who Inspire Greatness” and wrote “Tiger Learn English (MTV English Songs for Chinese Children).”
Her efforts have been acknowledged with multiple awards, including the Creative Award at the Silicon Valley AI Film Festival and the Outstanding Global Mother Award in Canada.
Outside of her professional achievements, Kerry is a devoted mother of two adult children and enjoys photography and pickleball. She is determined to continue her impactful work, advocating for overcoming challenges to inspire others in her community.
