Celebrity Traitors Season 2 is set to return to the castle with 21 new famous faces, hinting at a notably different atmosphere compared to the first season. TV presenter Richard Osman has mentioned an “intense” vibe after hearing from those involved in filming. Joe Marler, a former finalist, echoed this sentiment, noting that the new cast seems more focused on winning right from the start, rather than just having fun.
During a live edition of The Rest Is Entertainment in London, Osman and journalist Marina Hyde discussed how the new contestants feel the pressure to match the first season’s success, which attracted 15.4 million viewers for its finale. Celebrity participants will include James Acaster, James Blunt, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Romesh Ranganathan, and Ross Kemp, competing for up to £100,000 for charity.
Osman hinted at a premiere date of September 23, despite it reportedly being under embargo. The upcoming season promises to deliver a more competitive and intense game.
