The museum’s location was chosen among three cities, with Oklahoma City winning due to its position on Route 66, enhancing its potential for attracting visitors.
Oklahoma City donated the land for the museum, which has been part of the community since the start. The museum attracts travelers globally, celebrating the spirit of the West with its new tagline, “Find your west.” Chief Marketing Officer Seth Spillman emphasizes the universal themes of struggle and perseverance within western culture, inviting all to explore and connect with this heritage.
