ITV has announced an exciting new spin-off of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, titled I’m a Celebrity… The Wild Frontier, set to launch in 2027. The show takes place in the Canadian wilderness and will feature unique twists to the familiar format, as revealed in a promo video by hosts Ant and Dec.
In this series, contestants will enter as pairs, which could be comprised of celebrities, celebrity relatives, or partners, introducing a dynamic of competition and collaboration. Participants will have to compete and eat in their pairs, creating potential tension during challenges, particularly concerning food supply.
The filming is currently underway, following the airing of the second season of I’m a Celebrity… South Africa, with live vote-off episodes after each airing, allowing viewers to participate in determining the winners. Although a specific release date is not finalized, the series is expected to run for a few weeks in 2027.
Ant mentioned that the new format includes many unexpected twists while still retaining elements fans love from the original series. The show will be aired on ITV1 and available for streaming on ITVX, with additional content such as vodcasts planned to accompany the series.
