Richard Osman seemingly unintentionally discloses the premiere date for Celebrity Traitors.

Broadcaster Richard Osman has unintentionally revealed the launch date for the much-anticipated second series of The Celebrity Traitors, which he confirmed will return on September 23. During a live recording of The Rest Is Entertainment podcast in London, Osman acknowledged this slip while discussing the intensity of the upcoming season, suggesting that it will have a markedly different atmosphere compared to the first series.

Former contestant Joe Marler was present during the podcast and humorously noted this date, prompting Osman to admit, “It’s absolutely embargoed that it starts on September 23… the cat’s out of the bag isn’t it?”

The upcoming series will feature a fresh lineup of 21 celebrities competing for up to £100,000 for their chosen charities, filmed in a castle in the Scottish Highlands. The show’s format pits “faithfuls” against “traitors,” creating an engaging and competitive environment.

Michael Sheen, Maya Jama, Bella Ramsey, James Blunt, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock are among the notable figures set to join this season’s cast. The first series was a massive success, concluding with 15.4 million viewers, making it one of the most-watched TV shows in 2025.

The BBC has been approached for further comments on this exciting return.
