U.S. Government Issues Travel Restrictions for Nogales, Mexico
TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A security alert has prompted the U.S. Government to restrict travel to Nogales, Mexico. Travel is limited to “essential movement during daylight hours only.”
Sonora has been designated as a level three “reconsider travel” area by the U.S. Travel Agency.
Travellers are advised to:
- Exercise increased caution and be aware of your surroundings.
- Seek shelter in the event of an incident.
- Notify friends and family of your safety during incidents.
- Follow instructions from Mexican law enforcement.
- Monitor local media for updates.
