With the final installment, Final Fantasy 7 Revelation, set to release in April 2027, Hamaguchi is focused on not just concluding the trilogy, but also on expanding its legacy. During a PAX West panel titled “From Reunion to Resolve,” he emphasized the trilogy’s goal to attract new fans and ensure the story resonates for decades to come.
“We want to make this a work that creates new fans 20 or even 30 years from now,” stated Hamaguchi. The project aims to transition Final Fantasy 7 from a nostalgic classic into a vibrant, evolving franchise of its own.
