Gluten Never Ever Expo Draws Crowds to Milford
MANCHESTER, N.H. — An event in Milford is emphasizing gluten-free options for individuals with celiac disease and gluten sensitivity. Celiac disease is an autoimmune condition that damages the small intestine when gluten is consumed. An estimated 1 in 100 people worldwide are affected, yet only about 30% are accurately diagnosed, according to the Celiac Disease Foundation.
The Gluten Never Ever expo aims to foster a sense of community while showcasing excellent gluten-free choices. Event organizer Jody Donohue expressed the need for such an event in New Hampshire, noting that many great establishments—ranging from bakeries to restaurants—offer gluten-free foods but are often scattered across New England.
The expo continues on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hampshire Dome.
