Patrick Mahomes Sr. requests modification of probation to allow travel for NFL games.

Patrick Mahomes Sr. is seeking court approval to attend seven of his son’s NFL games outside of Texas, according to a motion filed in the 7th District Court in Tyler. This request follows his prior conviction for driving while intoxicated (DWI) and a probation period that has been extended due to violations.

In his motion, Mahomes Sr. is asking for permission to travel to games in Kansas City, Las Vegas, and Cincinnati. Court records indicate that he has met the conditions of his probation, including completing a required outpatient treatment program and community service, and that a community supervision officer confirmed his compliance.

He remains under strict probation conditions, including the requirement for urinalysis testing before and after any travel. Mahomes Sr. was previously sentenced to five years of probation after pleading guilty in 2024 but faced additional jail time and an extension of his probation after violating terms by consuming alcohol.

Additionally, Mahomes Sr. has expressed concerns regarding his ankle monitor, which he claims has caused skin irritation.
