Meet Cedar: A Gentle Giant Ready for Adoption
BRYAN, Texas – Cedar, a 3 1/2-year-old dog, is described as affectionate, cuddly, and playful by Katrina Ross, Executive Director of Aggieland Humane Society. Despite his large size, Ross encourages potential adopters not to be intimidated.
“He can look scary. I mean, he is massive, but he just has so much room for love in his heart and he really is ready to go home,” Ross explained.
Cedar has enjoyed several “dog day out” outings, highlighting his calm demeanor compared to other shelter dogs. “He’s one in the shelter that all the other dogs will be barking at. After he’s been on his walk, he goes back in his kennel and just sleeps. He passes out and is a really great boy that’s ready to find his home,” Ross noted.
Cedar has been at the shelter since June 30. If you’re interested in adopting Cedar, you can apply online or visit the shelter in person. Aggieland Humane Society is open from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays.
