New Mural Unveiled at Celebrity’s Beauty Supply
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A vibrant new mural was unveiled at Celebrity’s Beauty Supply on Friday, created by local artist Zay Williams. The project was made possible through a grant from the City of Davenport and Quad City Arts, as part of efforts to enhance community identity through public art.
Brian Kramer, executive director of Hilltop Campus Village, expressed the mural’s significance: “This mural is about more than adding color to a building. Public art can help create a sense of place and identity for a neighborhood. We want people driving through the Hilltop to notice these spaces, and we want residents and businesses to feel a sense of pride in the neighborhood.”
Residents and visitors are encouraged to stop by and see the new mural located at 1600 Harrison Street.
