National Animation Museum Partners with Google Arts & Culture to Launch Digital Exhibition Celebrating Indie Video Games
BURBANK, CA, USA — September 4, 2026 — The National Animation Museum (NAM) has announced an exciting new partnership with Google Arts & Culture (GAC), aimed at expanding digital access to immersive cultural experiences. As part of this collaboration, NAM has launched its first digital exhibition titled “Animating Play: 20 Years of IndieCade and Indie Video Games.”

The exhibition delves into the rich history of independent video games and the IndieCade festival, showcasing a vibrant collection of archival images and stories. It celebrates the creative forces and innovations that have shaped the independent gaming community over the past two decades.
